So.. I decided I would just show a few pics of my hair and what I've been doing over the past month.. I've got two protective styles I'm going to be working on in the next few weeks, so I'll keep you updated.

I didn't keep the straight hair too long because I wanted more versatility..so I twisted it and got this..
When I got my hair straightened, I wanted to stay away from heat damage so I had a natural hair stylist straighten it.. she did a good job.. I'll go back to her to get my hair done professionally.. I can say though, that my curl texture is definitely looser than before..and I'm ok with that.. for the moment. Once I put it in a protective style and keep my hands out of my hair, all should be well.. I'll post some pics of those protective styles soon!
